"n:spire girls are mature members, striking out with their skills"

nspire logoThe 13 to 18s age group in GB is known as n:spire.
n:spire for 13 to 18s empowers teenagers to engage with challenges which will help them learn new skills and find opportunities to serve, whilst discovering God’s relevance to every aspect of their life.image

These young people enjoy deeper relationships with both boys and girls. They may be making key decisions about their future – options, work, and university - and can experience quite a lot of pressure from school, parents or even from themselves. They need challenge and adventure and want to take responsibility for things themselves.

Each n:spire challenge is open to different interpretations, allowing the young people to make decisions about content, pace and engagement. Throughout, the activities will encourage them to discover what their faith means in their daily living, leisure time, decision-making, skill development and in their engagement of the world they live in.

climbing Over the past year we've been to the climbing wall, we've done dancing, cooking, stewardship, crafts e.t.c.

We spend these evenings working towards the Brigader Broach using the n:spire books. The group are encouraged to set themselves challenges from a subject area and then plan how to achieve it.Awards

We also work towards the Duke of Edinburgh award, developing new skills, helping with community service (volunteering), taking part in a physical activity, developing leadership skills, working in a team, first aid, camp craft, as well at the physical aspect of the expedition.

As a company we have an annual activity weekend and we are encouraged to actively assist the officers in the planning and preparation of this for the younger girls.

In the n:spire group we have fun, develop strong lasting friendships, develop life skills, and a community awareness.

We are here to help if you are a youngperson and you or your friend (up to age 18) has been forced or tricked into taking part in sexual activity with anyone online, or in the real world. We also have advice and links to support for other online problems young people might face, such as cyberbullying and hacking.
